Can I Use My Home Address for LLP Registration?
Short answer: Yes. A residential address can be an LLP’s registered office. You need a utility bill for the address that is not older than two months and, if no partner owns the property, a signed no-objection certificate (NOC) from the owner with the rent agreement. The address must be one where official letters and notices can be received.

Things to check before you use your home
- The address must match exactly across the utility bill, the NOC and the form. A missing flat number or society name is a common reason FiLLiP is sent back.
- Notices go to this address. MCA, income-tax and GST letters will be sent there, so use an address where someone can receive post.
- GST. If the LLP registers for GST, the same home can be its principal place of business, with the same kind of address proof. See GST registration for LLP.
- Society rules. Your housing society may have its own rules on running a business from a flat. These are not MCA requirements, but check them before you print the address on letterheads.
Can you move the registered office later?
